Where were you born and raised?I was born in Albany, Georgia; grew up in Gulfport , Mississippi until 7th grade when my family moved to Marshalltown, Iowa where I attended junior high, high school and one year of Junior college before attending the University of Iowa in 1965.
Why did you choose the profession of lawyer? After spending 4 years in the United State Air Force I decided it was important to continue my education so I decided that a law degree would complement my undergraduate business degree and if I did not like practicing law I could use the education in business. I found out very quickly that I enjoy practicing law and have been involved as a trial lawyer since early on in my career.
